We were over the moon about this event the moment we heard about it. A TEDx event happening in our city, highlighting the most interesting, innovative and fearless females Vancouver has seen? The organizers promised this and more, and they truly delivered. Women from a variety of backgrounds talked about their personal journeys and passion projects. They ranged from rowing across the Atlantic Ocean to confronting stereotypes of race and gender to fighting like a girl. We were lucky enough to get a front row seat.
Participants went home not only with great ideas and renewed passion, but also with samples of our handcrafted Coco Moko and Choko Moko cookies. We loved supporting this event, and hope to do so at more local events and initiatives.

We happily supported the Vegan Congress by donating baked goods for the Vegan Tea Party, held this Monday at Emily Carr University. The Vegan Tea Party is part of a lunchtime series of events happening this week that draw attention to vegan practice, ethics, and art and design. More than 100 people came out for great conversation and yummy vegan treats.
The Vegan Congress is a Vancouver-based activist collective providing events and information about vegan practice to help develop discourse and practical ethics.
